Submitted by farrell on Thu, 08/07/2008 - 2:19pm.I attended my first SnapM event in Bayonne, NJ, last week. It's a monthly gathering of photographers, models, designers, etc.
Here are a few images from the event. There were shooting locations available and I used a few. To see my other photos from SnapM, here's a Flickr slideshow. Enjoy!
Fashion Pics
Submitted by farrell on Fri, 05/16/2008 - 5:50pm.I attended a fashion workshop last week in New York City given by Bruce Smith, a well-known British fashion photographer.
The workshop was a great deal of fun and I learned a lot.
Below are some of my favorite images from the 4 days. Overall, I shot more than 2,000 frames with my Nikon D300, using primarily my 17-55mm f/2.8 lens. If you'd like to see more, I've built a Flickr slideshow.

These were shot with my Nikon D300 with my 35mm f/2 and 85mm f/1.4 lenses. Enjoy!
new studio shoot
Submitted by farrell on Thu, 04/10/2008 - 2:03pm.I just finished processing some images from my lastest studio shoot. We used a number of different lighting setups to create different looks for the images.
The model, Erica, did a wonderful job with different types of poses. You can see some more of the images in this slideshow on my Flickr page.
studio shoot
Submitted by farrell on Tue, 02/12/2008 - 12:18am.I had a chance to do a studio shoot last week with a model who designs her own clothing line.
I used both my new ringflash and a medium softbox as key lights, depending upon the shot. For capture, I had my usual assortment of prime lenses (35mm, 50mm and 85mm) with my Nikon D300.
This was a true collaboration between myself, the model (Chloe) and a makeup artist (Tanisha-Faye). Enjoy.
Studio Shoot
Submitted by farrell on Wed, 12/26/2007 - 4:00am.Studio shooting can be fun. Here are some images from a headshot session I did in New York City last week in some rented space.
For lighting, I used Nikon SB-800 (and one SB-600) flashes on stands with umbrellas and some other modifiers against a white seamless background. The model, Kaydence, did a wonderful job. If you want to see more of her work, you can find her modeling portfolio here.
There's a mix of moody and colorful shots. You can see the whole shoot here in the gallery section of my farrell kramer digital images site. Enjoy!
Boat Basin Shoot
Submitted by farrell on Tue, 10/30/2007 - 3:00am.I did a shoot at the 79th Street Boat Basin in Manhattan last week and got some nice images, despite a rainy day.
I was once again fortunate to have a great model to work with. If anyone's interested in finding out more about Ilona, check out her modeling portfolio. We got a number of different looks by being creative with the location, which offered some good covered and indoor shots.
Additional photos from the shoot can be found in my farrell kramer digital images galleries. Enjoy!
